Electrical Engineer / Communication Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer / Communication Engineer to join the R&D Department Products Group, to head various initiatives in optical communication modules and elements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The chosen person will be responsible for leading the System Engineering effort of developing a high end transceiver. The responsibilities include system design, integration, functional experiments and testing, transfer and support to engineering.

Requirements:

  • Sc. Degree in Electrical Engineering or System engineering
  • The position requires knowledge in communications and/or electro-optic systems.
  • Prior familiarity with optical communication components and systems is an advantage, as is prior experience with advanced modulation formats.
  • Excellent analytical skills, hands-on experience and a system approach.
  • Multi-disciplinary attitude is a must.
  • Simulation and board design skills are an advantage, as is prior experience with signal processing.

 

The position is full time, at the company headquarters in Yokneam.
Reports to the Products Group Leader, under the CTO.

DFR Engineer (for Engineering Department)

We are looking for a motivated, skilled and experienced Electro-Optical Engineer to be a part of ColorChip's Reliability Engineering group, who will be responsible for performing failure analysis in support of new product development and production line failure, as well as field returns; communicate failure details and root cause analysis to key stakeholders; drive closed loop preventive & corrective actions to continuously improve our product design and manufacturing.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hands-on failure analysis by effectively utilizing necessary analytical techniques. Assure that root causes are identified at the most detailed level.
  • Create concise failure analysis reports with exceptional visualizations and present findings to cross-functional project teams.
  • Collaborate with reliability testing to recreate failure modes that are intermittent or hard to replicate. Utilize environmental testing equipment and other methods to be able to precipitate failures as a precursor to in depth failure analysis.
  • Create a failure analysis workflow for failure modes into failure analysis and provide expert input on root cause, its relevance to the field and the best path in terms of addressing the finding with the design teams and countermeasure validation.
  • Maintain FA lab equipment as required and ensure internal staff are properly trained.

Requirements: 

  • Hands on experience with failure analysis and techniques such as:
    • Root cause analysis
    • Electrical testing equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, OSA, fluke, optical analyzer, light sources)
    • Statistical data analysis of product failures
    • Testing station maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge in the following areas: laser diodes, laser drive electronics, photo diodes, electronic schemes
  • Experience working on failure modes of complex electro-optical systems.
  • Manage, organize, prioritize, and execute assignments for multiple projects on time
  • Motivated professional, able to initiate tasks, generate questions, and apply innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • B.S. in Electronics/Electro-optics/Physics Science
  • proven experience in subcontractors management.

Validation & Verification Engineer

We are looking for a V&V Engineer (Electrical Engineer/ Communication Engineer) to join the Products Group, to head multiple V&V initiatives of optical communication modules and elements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The chosen person will be responsible for the V&V of high end transceiver. The responsibilities will include design of tests (according to standards), performance of the tests and report generation.

 

Requirements:

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Communication Engineering.
Practical Engineering graduates with exceptional experience or records will also be gladly considered.

The position requires knowledge in electro-optical or communication systems, as well as relevant V&V experience. Prior familiarity with optical communication components and systems is an advantage, as is prior experience with advanced modulation formats.

The candidate should have good analytical skills, hands-on experience and a system approach.
Multi-disciplinary attitude is a must.
